| The Sisterhood of Temple Emanu-El is affiliated with the Women of Reform Judaism. The Sisterhood conducts a Torah Study each month during the school year and is using the new The Torah: A Woman's Commentary. The Sisterhood is currently in the middle of their annual membership drive and has a men's affiliate as well. Serving this year as Co-presidents of the Sisterhood are Gail Marcus (780-4245)and Beatriz Haymer. (395-4316) |

| The Hawaii Jewish Seniors meets at Temple Emanu-El on a monthly basis during the school year and presents speakers, activities and topics of timely interest to Jewish seniors living in Hawaii. The Point of Contact is Ms. Jackie Foil. |
| A newly organized activity/committee at Temple Emanu-El is the Environment Committee, dedicated to the "greening" of Temple Emanu-El. The have recently, in conjunction with Hawaiian Electric, completed an assessment of the lighting in use at Temple Emanu-El, with the goal of reducing our use and cost of electricity. | The Kirk Cashmere Jewish Film Festival is presented annually over the Presidents Day Weekend by Temple Emanu-El. As well, we have a special Kick-Off Activity at the Temple on the Sunday before Martin Luther King Day. We just completed the sixth annual presentation of the film festival. Follow the link to review the films which were recently presented. We have a very active committee which works on the Film Festival year round and is currently chaired by Stan Jacobs. |
