We have a fair share model membership program in which each person or family contributes a reasonable
amount based upon their income level.  In this way the members of the congregation are able to share
equitably in the costs of operating the Temple and assuring that Temple Emanu-El can continue to serve
as the center of Jewish life in Hawaii -- with a wide variety of spiritual, educational and cultural programs
and services.
In order for this fair share system to work, it is important that our members contribute in accordance with
the fair share system, as outlined below.  While individual circumstances may vary, we depend on most
folks contributing at their fair share level.  We are especially appreciative of our members who are able to
contribute above and beyond the basic fair share level to compensate for those who are unable to give as
