Based on the award-winning novel by Valerie Zenatti, A Bottle in the Gaza Sea is a realist Romeo and Juliet tale for our times. Idealistic Tal is17and just transplanted to Jerusalem from Paris. After witnessing a terrorist attack, she writes a letter expressing her refusal to believe that there will always be only hate between Israelis and Palestinians and casts it out to sea near Gaza. When she receives an e-mail response from a young Palestinian called Naim, the pair embarks on a turbulent but tender long-distance friendship, separated by a history both try to understand.
