DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 01 Mon. Jun. 11, 2018: (Flight Option 1)

Today we depart for our overnight flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Breakfast and dinner will be served on board.

 

Day 01 Tue. Jun. 12, 2018: (Flight Option 2)

Today we depart for our overnight flight to Tel Aviv, Israel. Breakfast and dinner will be served on board.

 

Day 02 Wed. Jun. 13: TEL AVIV

Welcome to Israel, upon arrival into Ben Gurion Airport, you will be met and assisted by our airport representative. Then we will be transferred to our hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight accommodations (Note: dinner may be replaced with lunch pending arrival time & choice) (Breakfast and Dinner included)

 

Day 03 Thu. Jun. 14: INDEPENDENCE HALL–TEL AVIV PANORAMIC TOUR–JAFFA

Following breakfast, we will depart to visit the Independence Hall where Jewish independence was declared in 1948 with exhibits on this event and city history. Then we will stop for a panoramic tour of Tel Aviv. After noon we will head to visit Jaffa where we visit the Old Port. We will have the opportunity to plant a tree in memory of love one at JNF forest. Dinner on your own. (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 04 Fri. Jun. 15: DIASPORA MUSEUM – LATRUN ARMY MUSEUM (SABBATH DINNER)

After breakfast at hotel, we will start the day with an early visit to Diaspora Museum, the museum of the Jewish people. Then we continue to visit Latrun Army Museum (Yad LaShiryon) the armored corps Memorial site (included). Afternoon is a free time to enjoy a nosh-walk on the Beach in Tel Aviv. Back to hotel for a Sabbath dinner (Breakfast and Dinner included)

 

Day 05 Sat. Jun. 16: SYNAGOGUE SERVICE - CAESAREA – HAIFA – TIBERIAS

The start of your Jewish Heritage escorted day tour begins with a drive along the coastal plains in to Caesarea, once Judea capital under Roman rule. See this amazing port city built by Herod the Great, explore the aqueduct, amphitheater, and excavations of the crusaders and ancient city. Continue to Haifa for a breathtaking view from Mount Carmel. Dinner on your own.  (Breakfast is included)

Day 06 Sun. Jun. 17: BET SHEARIM – ZIPPORI – AKKO – ROSH HANIKRA – TIBERIAS

After breakfast we will depart from hotel to visit Bet Shearim, a UNESCO world heritage site. After that we will continue to Zippori, located in the lower Galilee, halfway between the Mediterranean Sea and Sea of Galilee. We’ll drive to Acre and walk and eat along its old harbor and local market. Continue to the northern most point of Israel at Rosh Hanikra. Descend by cable into the limestone grottoes. Overnight in Tiberias.  Dinner on your own.  (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 07 Mon. Jun. 18: QAZRIN – GOLAN HEIGHTS – TEL DAN – JORDAN RIVER RAFTING

Following breakfast at hotel, we will visit Qazrin in the Golan Heights, is the secondly largest locality after Majdal Shams. Then we will visit the source of the river Jordan, nestled amid lush greenery. We visit the ruins of the ancient city of Dan seeing the ancient altar built by Kind Jeroboam and Ahab, and then we see the city gates where nearby it the Davidic inscription was discovered. End of the day will be at the Jordan River to try a raft. We return to Tiberias for our overnight accommodations.  Dinner on your own. (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 08 Tue. Jun. 19: TIBERIAS – SAFED – FREE AFTERNOON - TIBERIAS After breakfast, we will depart from Tiberius to visit Safed center of the Kaballa movement; visit the Joseph Caro Synagogue and the Ha’Ari Synagogue, the most important synagogues in the city; stroll around the Artists' quarter. Afternoon time is free to explore Sea of Galilee on your own. Overnight accommodations in Tiberius.  Dinner on your own. (Breakfast is included.)

Following breakfast, we will visit Bet Alpha Synagogue. Then we will to see beautiful mosaic floors of a synagogue from the Byzantine era. Continue our travel on to Beit She'an, the largest archeological park in Israel with amazing excavations from the Roman and Byzantine periods. This site rivals those of ruins in ancient Rome. Onto Gan Hashlosha (Sachne), where you will have an opportunity to enjoy the water springs located at the foot of the Gilboa Mountain, the famous mountain on which King Saul was killed in the battle against the Philistines. Arrive in Jerusalem for overnight. Dinner on your own.  (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 10 Thu. Jun. 21: KENESET–MT. HERZL MUSEUM–ISRAEL MUSUEM–YAD VASHEM– MAHNE YEHUDA MARKET

We will start touring in Jerusalem with a tour driving to the Knesset, Israel’s parliament building, and see the Menorah with the biblical emblems. Continue to Mt. Herzl Museum. Next visit the Israel Museum, the Shrine of the Book (where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed), and the new holy land model – a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the second Temple period. Visit afternoon the Yad Vashem holocaust Museum. End of the day will be visiting the Mahne Yehuda Market. Overnight in Jerusalem.  Dinner on your own.  (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 11 Fri. Jun. 22: MT. OLIVES PANORAMIC VIEW – AMMUNITION HULL – CITY OF DAVID – WELCOME SABBATH AT KOTEL Start the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from Mt. Olives, where our guide will point the most important sites in Jerusalem. Then we continue to the City of David where we will walk the Hezekiah Tunnels. We will then return to our hotel and Welcome the Sabbath at the Kotel. Dinner at a restaurant or hotel. Overnight in Jerusalem. (Breakfast and dinner are included)

 

Day 12 Sat. Jun. 23: MASADA – QUMRAN – DEAD SEA – JERUSALEM

Following breakfast we will depart from hotel to visit Masada, Photo: Ruins of the Masada fortressthe last stronghold of the Zealots against the Romans. On to Qumran, seeing the caves where the famous Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Time will be given for float or swim at the Dead Sea. In the night we will visit the Sound and Light Show. We will have a light meal. Back to Jerusalem for your overnight accommodations.  Dinner on your own. (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 13 Sun. Jun. 24: WESTERN WALL TUNNELS–DAVIDSON CENTRE–JEWISH QUARTER – FREE AFTERNOON Start the day with a visit to the Western Wall Tunnels along the base of the Western Wall - the holiest site in Judaism and one of the original walls that retained the Temple, leading us through the Second Temple era and marvel at the amazing construction of your ancestors of the Temple Mount. Here we visit the Davidson center.  We will then walk the Jewish Quarter and visit 4 Synagogues. Overnight in Jerusalem. Dinner is on your own.  (Breakfast is included)

 

Day 14 Mon. Jun. 25: USA

After farewell SHALOHA breakfast, we will transfer by our private coach to the airport for our flight home.  (Breakfast is included)
